Narayani and Tinau rivers above danger level, Meteorological Department urges to adopt high vigilance

Due to incessant rains, the water level in Narayani of Chitwan and Tinau rivers of Butwal has risen above the danger level and is still rising, according to the Flood Forecast Division.

The Flood Forecast Division of the Department of Water and Meteorology has measured the water level of Narayani River at 6.15 am at Narayani Bridge at 11.13 meters. The alert level is considered to be 11 meters while the water level is rising.

Similarly, the water level at Debghat has crossed the alert level at 6.25 am and reached 7.85 meters. The alert level is considered to be 7.3 meters.

Similarly, the water level of Tinau measured 5.59 meters at 6.20 am. Reaching 5.6 meters there is considered a danger level.

The meteorological department has urged the residents of the coastal areas to be vigilant as the water level is rising in both the places. The branch has urged the people in the coastal areas of Chitwan and Nawalparasi to be on high alert throughout the day.
