Who hacked CDO's Facebook and messaged in Hindi?: With conversation

September 30, Kathmandu

Last Monday evening, Sarlahi Chief District Officer (CDO) Surendra Poudel's Facebook Messenger sent a message saying 'Hi' to Bal Krishna Mandal, who works at the Saptari branch of Reliable Life Insurance.

Suddenly, he started talking nonsense in Hindi by saying 'Hi' from CDO Surendra Poudel's messenger. The board said that a message came from a messenger named CDO Poudel at 5.30 pm on Monday. "I was happy when I first saw the message from CDO but later I got skeptical when message came about money transfer" he  said.

Chatting in Hindi, CDO wrote a message saying, "Do something," and Mandal also wrote a message saying, "Sir, don't say that." It can be seen in the screenshot of the chat provided by Mandal.

Brief conversation in the message
Sidio: "Do you use Paytm?"
Mandal: 'No sir, there is only mobile banking'
CDO: 'Yes', the Mandal asked with suspicion, 'Who are you?' The answer came again, 'Some money had to be transferred.' Then the Mandal also asked in Hindi, 'Who are you?' Can be seen in the message.
When asked about this, CDO Poudel said that he did not have such a chat. "I don't know anything," he said.

On the other hand, Bal Krishna Mandal said that he spoke thinking that the message came from the CDO. But he said that he was shocked when he kept talking in Hindi about money transfer. After saying various things in the message, the board said that it could be a fake facebook account of CDO.

"I was happily talking to Surendra Sir as he was also once the CDO in Saptari before," he said. Mandal is working in Saptari branch of Reliable Life Insurance.
