An electric public bus has come into operation from Dhulikhel in Kavrepalanchok district to Kathmandu from Wednesday.

In collaboration with Dhulikhel Municipality, Sundarayatayat Pvt. The first electric bus operated by Nepal has started Dhulikhel-Kathmandu service from Wednesday.

Mayor Ashok Banju Shrestha said that the bus, which came into operation in collaboration with the municipality, ran only four times in the first phase.

Even though the bus has come into operation, the fare has not been decided yet. Stating that a decision will be taken soon, Mayor Banju said that the fare will be cheaper than other bus services.
