22-minute sit-in by Congress on the 22nd day of Dr. KC's hunger strike

The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has staged a 22-minute sit-in on the 22nd day of the hunger strike of Dr. Govinda KC.

Demonstrating peacefully at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital on Monday, the Congress has demanded the government to meet KC's demands. Dr. Stating that the government has not held talks for 22 days since KC went on hunger strike, spokesperson Bishwaprakash Sharma has urged Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to hold talks with KC. "The government should form a committee for immediate talks," Sharma said. Dr. KC's health condition is critical.

Spokesperson Sharma said that the government should break the hunger strike and save Dr. KC's demand. Similarly, the propaganda department of the Nepali Congress has also demonstrated in solidarity with the demand of Dr. KC.
Congress had staged a 22-minute sit-in today as Dr. KC's fast has reached 22 days. Earlier on Sunday, President Sher Bahadur Deuba had made a public appeal to Prime Minister Oli to fulfill Dr. KC's demand.
