Congress To Boycott Gandaki Assembly Meeting

Apr 19, Kathmandu- The Nepali Congress is going to boycott the meeting of the Provincial Assembly of Gandaki Province.

The leader of the party Surendraraj Pandey informed that the meeting of the parliamentary party held on Friday decided to boycott the meeting of the parliament and the meeting of the working arrangement consultation committee.

Pandey said that it was decided not to participate in the unconstitutionally called meeting. Congress has submitted the memorandum along with the decision of the meeting to Speaker Krishna Dhital.

"The government was formed unconstitutionally and illegally by partisanship of the office of the Speaker. The Supreme Court had ordered the provincial government not to take decisions of a nature that would have long-term effects except for the regular operations, in such a situation, calling the session of the Provincial Assembly is also illegal and contrary to the order of the Supreme Court.

Congress says that recommending to call the session and calling the session by the head of the state ignoring the order and presentation of the case are both irresponsible actions.
