CPN could not be saved after Oli's arrogance crossed the line: Madhav Nepal

Apr 27, Kathmandu- Madhav Nepal, Chairman of CPN Unified Socialists, has said that he could not save CPN after UML President KP Sharma Oli's arrogance crossed the line.

In the party's Makwanpur District Convention 2074, he claimed that the effort failed because of the leadership, despite having the opportunity to get it only sometimes in history. He said, "In 2074, we found that CPN-UML was the largest party, almost getting majority, after the unity of UML and Maoists, it reached almost two-thirds of the majority. In that case, the constitution could not be changed. It could have been made like a law. Radical changes could be made in all the structures of the state. A happy life could be provided to the people by making major changes. A new wave of development could have been brought".

Targeting Oli, he said, when arrogance prevailed in the leadership. The leadership considers the principles of the party, the constitution of the state and itself to be all-powerful, becoming arrogant and not humble. When he becomes arrogant, he crosses all boundaries, does not obey the party's constitution, refuses meetings. Doesn't care about the discussion.

He said that Oli has violated the party's statutes, principles and constitution, so far the whole movement is suffering. He said that even now they have the responsibility of protecting democracy.
