‘e-Sewa has not been hacked, password change is requested as a precaution’ - e-Sewa

e-Sewa has stated that it has drawn serious attention to the spread of false and misleading information that e-Sewa has been hacked by posting information related to some e-Sewa customers on social media.

e-Sewa said in a statement on Friday that serious attention had been drawn.

The statement said, "We have been asked to change the password of the customer who is using the service from a web browser as a precautionary measure.”

"We request all customers to be confident that the services provided by e-Sewa, customer information and the technical infrastructure IT uses are of high quality, safe and world class," the statement said.

Considering the challenges of cyber security, customers are also requested to keep their passwords, OTP and other information confidential and change their passwords from time to time.
e-Sewa is an ISO 27001 2013 certified organization.
