Demonstration in Paris demanding relief to Corona-affected businesses

October 13, Paris

Hotel owners have protested on the Ring Road in the French capital, Paris, demanding partially blocked traffic. They have demanded the provision of aid packages to the distressed industries.

The government has stepped up restrictions in urban areas as the Covid-19 infection rate has risen again. They are protesting saying that their business is trapped while adopting infection control measures.

The Paris city administration last week warned of maximum coronavirus infection and ordered bars, swimming pools and gyms to be closed for 14 days to prevent further spread of the virus.

The administration had in July re-issued instructions to walk around the city and follow social distance rules as required by public places.
The video, obtained by ANI, shows protesters carrying posters and banners.

It is said that the agitating companies have been demanded to provide assistance, partial unemployment allowance and tax exemption.
