Village Municipality Chairman Bir Bahadur Bisht has been beaten over the issue of the center of Surnaya village municipality of Baitadi. According to the police, Bisht was stoned and injured in the head while trying to open the lock.

The locals had locked the center a few days ago saying that they were trying to shift the center of Surnaya village to Pabita. According to the police, the clash took place when they tried to open the lock in the evening.

Five policemen were also injured in the clash while six others were injured in the clash. Chief Police Inspector Dhandev Saud of the Area Police Office Patan informed that the other three injured were in Surnaya. The condition of all the injured is normal, police said.

Chief of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Narayan Prasad Adhikari informed that security vigilance has been adopted to reduce the possible risks.
