How did Bollywood clash became clan against Arnav Goswami?

October 15, Kathmandu

After the suicide case of Sushant Singh Rajput, Bollywood was constantly targeted by the media and social media. However, as soon as Sushant's post-mortem report became public, Bollywood's confidence has returned and it has launched an organized counter-attack.

Four associations, including the Producers Guild of India, an association of Bollywood producers, and 34 producers have filed a writ petition in the Delhi High Court against controversial Indian journalist Arnav Goswami and his Republic TV. The writ petition alleges that Goswami insulted Bollywood by using insulting words. Rahul Ravi Shankar and Navika Kumar of Times Now have also been made opposition in the case.

Most of the big names in Bollywood are involved in this move. Production houses including Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are on the list of writ petitioners. This episode has brought together Hindu and Muslim celebrities of Bollywood who stand on different sides in many issues. After a long time, Bollywood has become like this.

After Sushant's suicide, the process of insulting Bollywood celebrities started in various ways, led by Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. She claimed that Sushant was not killed but committed suicide and blamed many Bollywood celebrities. Public opinion on social media was also in favor of Kangana. Kangana Ranaut's voice became even louder when the case turned to the angle of drugs and the police started investigating famous Bollywood celebrities. Singai came on the Bollywood backfoot.

Bollywood has finally revived after the police ruled that Sushant's death was a suicide last year. Citing the post-mortem report, Kangana remained silent after the police stated that Sushant was not killed. On the other hand, Swara Bhaskar and Farhan Akhtar started attacking him.
Following the AIIMS report, Swara Bhaskar tweeted, "Now both the CBI and the AIIMS have come to the conclusion that Sushant has committed suicide." Some people were talking about returning the award given by the government. '

This comment of Swara was clearly aimed at Kangana. She said she would return the awards she received from the state if Sushant's murder was not proved. When Swarla sarcastically, Kangana was not likely to remain silent. By nature, she responded aggressively.

She wrote, "This is my interview. If anyone's memory is weak, look again." If I have made only one false or false accusation, I will return all the awards. This is a regional dialect. I am a devotee of Ram, Jyan Javas will not lose his word. '

His girlfriend Riya Chakraborty was blamed by the Indian media for Sushant's death. He was also arrested by the police in a drug case. However, she has now been released on bail.

After Riya was granted bail, Farhan Akhtar tweeted, "Will the anchors who accused Riya and her family apologize?" I do not think so. But, now they will definitely change the goal post. They are notorious for this. '

After Sushant's death, Kangana raised the issue of nepotism in Bollywood. He claimed that Sushant had lost many films due to nepotism and decided to commit suicide due to the same frustration. Police also questioned Yasraj Films and Sanjay Leela Bhansali about the matter.
However, the issue later turned to drugs. In this case, Bollywood itself seemed to be divided into two parts. On one side was the group led by Kangana, backed by India's ruling party, the BJP. On the other hand, there were celebrities like Jaya Bachchan, Anurag Kashyap and Swara Bhaskar.

A few years ago, or even before the formation of Narendra Modi's government, actors like Vinod Khanna and Dharmendra were in Parliament from the BJP, while Sunil Dutt, Dilip Kumar and Rajesh Khanna were in the Congress. But, there was no bitterness between them. They stood together on issues related to the film. The last Bollywood is not like that. Artists are divided on the basis of religion and political beliefs.

Filmmaker Avinash Das says, ‘Our film industry is the same as our society. Just as society is divided, so is Bollywood. '

As soon as the issue of drugs came up, former actress and Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan tried to defend Bollywood by speaking in Parliament. Kangana lashed out at Jaya over the speech. Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap was also accused of sexual harassment, which is under investigation. Some actresses made statements in defense of Anurag.

Kangana, on the other hand, continued to give various expressions and gain power. She also received high-level protection from the government.

Avinash says, ‘As Kangana, the BJP has found a pillar for itself in Bollywood. Big names like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have never been positive towards VJP. That is why the BJP is carrying Kangana on its shoulders.

Glimpses of the division in Bollywood were also seen in Kapil Sharma's television program. Arnav Goswami was ridiculed a lot in this show.

There was also a third camp in Bollywood yesterday, which was considered ideologically neutral. They were neither close to anyone, nor far from anyone. Celebrities like Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Sajid Nadiadwala, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbari Kapoor were in this group. For example, when Salman Khan was seen healing with Narendra Modi, when he was seen close with Uddhav Thackeray. However, Sushant's suicide case has forced this neutral group to clarify its position. They are open against the BJP.

Now that Kangana has left and Bollywood is standing in one place, this conflict has made Leela look like a Bollywood versus VJP. The decision of the Delhi High Court will be very important in this. If the court pays any compensation to the media persons including Goswami as demanded by the petitioners, it can be considered as a great achievement for Bollywood.

On the other hand, Ektheri has predicted that Kangana's future in Bollywood is almost over. After making most of the filmmakers enemies, now they claim that they will not get a new film. However, Kangana herself now wants to test herself in politics rather than in Bollywood. Maybe the BJP can give him some place.
