Kings XI Punjab defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match played today. Punjab beat Bangalore by 8 wickets in a match played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Chasing the target of 172 runs, Punjab reached the target with a loss of 2 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Captain KL Rahul added 61 runs for Punjab. Similarly, Chris Gayle scored 53 runs and Mayank Agrawal scored 45 runs.
Yujbhendra Chahal took one wicket for Bangalore.
Earlier, Bangalore, who won the toss and elected to bat, lost six wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 171 runs.
Captain Birat Kohli was the top scorer for Bangalore with 48 runs.
Similarly, Shivam Duve added 23 runs while Aaron Finns added 20 runs while Devdutt Pardikal added 18 runs. Chris Morris remained unbeaten on 25 runs.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Sami and Murugan Ashwin of Bangalore took 2/2 wickets each. Arsdeep Singh and Chris Jordan took 1/1 wickets.
