PM's stern reply to Dr. Baburam Bhattarai: Are you trying to provoke people by giving wrong information?

October 16, Kathmandu

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called on Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and given a strong answer. At a program organized in Gorkha a few days ago, former prime minister and JSP leader Dr Bhattarai had accused Prime Minister Oli and former prime ministers Sher Bahadur Deuba and Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda of embezzling Rs 9 billion from the Budhigandaki hydropower project.

Responding to this, Prime Minister Oli said that he was trying to provoke the people by giving wrong information. Addressing a program organized at the Naxal-based Police Headquarters on the occasion of the 65th Police Day on Friday, Prime Minister Oli said, Contradicting Bhattarai's allegations, he said, "Expression is one thing. But, we cannot be so irresponsible while expressing. We do not act in the wrong way by giving wrong information to the country and the people, by confusing them, by provoking them. We can only move forward with true integrity and responsibility. "

Claiming that Dr. Bhattarai's allegations were untrue but Prime Minister Oli did not mention his name and termed the allegations as irresponsible.

Stating that the government is working against corruption, he said, "The government of Nepal has moved forward with a zero tolerance policy against corruption." Of course, I have also heard some irresponsible elements speaking in an irresponsible manner. I have heard that the former Prime Minister and the current Prime Minister have shared irresponsibly that there is no decision, no work has started and it has not been decided who will do what and how. Such irresponsible statements are baseless. '

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Oli stressed on the need for the police to work to win the trust of the people. "Our behavior and expression should win the trust of the people. "If the confidence in the police is weakened, there is a danger that the security situation will deteriorate," Oli said.
