Why do we hesitate to appreciate good work?- Home Minister complains!

October 16, Kathmandu

Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said that there is a growing tendency for the police to publicize and rejoice in the number of working errors.

Speaking at a program organized at the Naxal Police Headquarters on the occasion of the 65th Police Day on Friday morning, he said that constructive suggestions and support were needed now rather than speeding up the police.

"Ignoring the thousands of tasks of the police, those who rejoice in the number of working errors that can be counted on their fingers should keep an eye on them," he said. "Our society, which does not hesitate to say bad things over and over again, has been stingy in spending words praising the good," he said.
"Why is it that a society that is rumored to be involved in a crime is reluctant to applaud the police for a successful investigation into the incident," he said. "Police and society cannot be different." What is in the society is seen in the police. Therefore, a society that wants a change in the police or the structure of the country needs to change itself, its family and its thinking. '

He said that the performance of the Nepal Police personnel was high despite various obstacles and limited resources in fulfilling their legal responsibilities.

"The fearlessness and determination with which the overall rank of the Nepal Police is discharging its responsibilities in a social environment guided by as much blame as ever and always negative critical thinking is commendable and only commendable," he said.
Home Minister Thapa said that the use of science and technology in Nepal Police is also increasing and it will be further increased.
