Seventh win of Delhi Capitals with Shikhar Dhawan's classic century

Delhi Capitals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Chasing Chennai's target of 180, Delhi completed the target losing 5 wickets in 19.5 overs.

Shikhar Dhawan scored his first IPL century for Delhi. Shikhar scored 101 runs off 58 balls. Dhawan hit an unbeaten 101 off 58 balls with 14 fours and a six. Similarly, Patel often played 5 balls in the end and scored an unbeaten 21 runs. Similarly, Marcos Stoinis scored 24 runs for Delhi while captain Shreyas Iyer scored 23 runs.

Faf Duplessis was the top scorer for Chennai with 58 runs. Ambati Rayudu scored 45 off 25 balls while Shane Watson scored 36 runs. Similarly, Ravindra Jadeja scored 33 off 13 balls while skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was out for 3 and Sam Quran was out for zero.

Delhi bowler Enrich Nortje took two wickets while Tushar Deshpande and Kagiso Rabada took one wicket each.

With this victory, Delhi Capitals has reached the top of the table with 14 points after winning 7 out of 9 matches.
