Six persons have been injured in a jeep accident at Rukum West.

Six persons were injured when a jeep (Ga 1 Ja 6047) heading towards Radibazar from Thulibarkha in Athaviskot Municipality-12 of Rukum West met with an accident at 9 am on Sunday, according to police.

Athaviskot municipality ward no. The deceased have been identified as Gege Kami, 34, his son Sarjan Kami, 6, daughter Laxmi Kami, 3, Shailendra Nepali, 14, Rajkumar Kami, 14, and Maniram Nepali, 12. Similarly, the condition of Shailendra Nepali is critical, said District Police Spokesperson Inspector Hari Wali. The injured are undergoing treatment in the district.

The cause of the accident has not been identified yet and an investigation is underway, police said.
