Punjab's dramatic win over Mumbai in the second super over

Kings XI Punjab, inspired by captain KL Rahul's half-century, defeated Mumbai Indians in the second super over in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Mumbai, who won the toss and elected to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, lost six wickets in the allotted 20 overs to post a total of 176 runs.


 For Mumbai, De Kock hit 53 off 43 balls with three fours and a six. Krunal Pandey and Kieron Pollard contributed 34/34 and Nathan Coulter Nile contributed 24 runs.

Mohammad Shami and Arshdeep Singh took 2/2 wickets each for Punjab.

Batting in reply with a victory target of 177 runs, Punjab scored only 176 runs in the allotted 20 overs and reached the Super Over.

After the first super over ended in a draw, Punjab won the second super over dramatically.

With the victory, Punjab has jumped to the seventh position by adding 6 points in 9 games. Defeated Mumbai, who added 12 points from the same game, lost the chance to go to the top.
