From today, goats on sale for Dashain

Food Management and Trading Company Limited will be selling goats for Dashain from today. The sale and distribution of goats for Dashain will start from the company's Thapathali-based provincial office premises from today. 

The price of fallow goat has been determined by analyzing the price of fallow goat in the market on Sunday and the sale will be opened from today, said the department head of the company, Shri Maniraj Khanal.

The company has brought 200 goats to Kathmandu on Saturday. Khanal informed that the company will not sell Pashmina Goat (Changra) this year. The company has been selling goat, he-goat and changra every Dashain for market price control. But this time, due to technical difficulties, Pashmina goat didn’t came from Mustang as usual, company said. 

In the first phase, 1,000 goat will be put up for sale and additional demand can be made to keep the market balanced as the demand increases, the company said.
