Australian government to hire drunk girls in bar bathroom as a part of Mental Health Program

October 19, Australia

The federal government of Australia had recently rolled out a new mental health program that is set to completely flip the mental health system from its head by hiring drunk girl in bar bathrooms as emotional support workers.

The health minister Lisa Roley tell the reporter the revised program was on response to the growing need for mental health services nation wide, which she says has ballooned exponentially in past 12 months.

She stated that there is a bit of loneliness  epidemic in Australia. We are all so connected in literal sense but people are facing extreme loneliness and lack of emotional support, she mentioned.

Although people seek psychiatric assistance and therapist to arm themselves with better coping mechanism, there are allot of people who only want someone to listen to them and fulfill their emotional need.

She also pointed out on the problem that low incoming people face while receiving mental health service as they have to wait for longer period and this illness doesn’t work like that as problems comes in tides and many people tend to quit before their appointment date has arrived which is more hazardous and disproportionate.

With this she realized the need of more empathetic listeners and started thinking on how she can supply abundant empathetic listeners.

While her visit to a bar she encountered a situation where couple of drunk girls were consoling a girl who was breaking out because of her recent break-up. They had no idea who she was but they knew what would help her.

That is when she decided that is the kind of service Australia needs and made this alteration in health program.
