June 2,Kathmandu - Private and Residential Schools Organization Pabson Bhaktapur has launched the Covid 'Financial Assistance and Home Health Care' campaign after the second wave of covid-19 epidemic spread among school principals, founders, teachers, staff, students and parents.
Pabson Bhaktapur has set up a 'Covid Relief Fund' for covid infected Pabson affiliated principals, founders, teachers and staff. Under the coordination of Pabson Bhaktapur Senior Vice President Surendra Shrestha, Treasurer Dilliraj Joshi Member-Secretary and Vice President Rajan Kaspal, Vice President Veena Pandey, Pabson Bhaktapur Mayor Ramesh Chandra Shrestha, Madhyapurthimi Mayor Nilesh Acharya, Suryavinayak Mayor Sanuraja Karki, Changunarayan Mayor Ram Mani Neupane, Pabson Bhaktapur Municipal Treasurer Shiv Kumar Ko Pabson Covid Relief Fund has been formed with Madhyapurthimi Municipal Treasurer Suman Basnet, Suryabinayak Municipal Treasurer Bhola Chaudhary and Changunarayan Municipal Member Rajesh Dahal.
Under the campaign, Pabson Bhaktapur has provided financial assistance to the founding principals, teachers and staff of its member schools who are undergoing treatment in ICU, ventilator and other beds in the hospital in the first phase, said Pabson Bhaktapur Chairman Chandra Adhikari. According to him, the campaign has been managing the search for beds, oxygen, plasma, medicine and ambulance in the hospital due to lack of beds.
Adhikari informed that 123 principals, teachers and staffs of member schools under District Pabson Bhaktapur are being treated for covid infection in hospitals and home isolation. The fund has been set up after the condition of some of those in the hospital became critical.
Under the second phase, Pabson has brought home-based health services to the founders, principals, teachers and staffs of the schools who are recovering from home isolation. For those struggling with the infection at home, Pabson has started providing the necessary health care at home as part of the second phase of the campaign. At the expense of Pabson Bhaktapur, free swab collection, blood collection and testing, provision of oxygen, medical services including doctors, nurses, medical consultation by telephone, ambulance and necessary medicine have been started free of cost.
Pabson Bhaktapur, in collaboration with Lions Club of Bhaktapur Principals, Central Pabson, Bhaktapur Heart and Diabetes Center, Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce, Bhaktapur Lions Service Coordinating Committee and other organizations, will also conduct 'Gharghar Health Care' campaign for parents, students and general public. Fund coordinator Surendra Shrestha informed. He said that although a campaign was launched to free the PABSON members from health risks affected by the covid epidemic, Pabson would now take the campaign to the general public as well.
