June 3, Kathmandu - A bill has been registered in the Bagmati Provincial Assembly Secretariat to make arrangements for higher education in the province. On Thursday, Bagmati Social Development Minister Saraswati Basnet registered the bill at the Provincial Assembly Secretariat.
Minister Basnet registered the bill as Government Bill No. 62, said by Binod Amatya, spokesperson of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly Secretariat.
As per the parliamentary arrangement, the bill registered in the Parliament Secretariat today will be tabled in the Parliament in the next five days and will be passed by the Parliament after necessary discussions.
The bill stipulates that the management of its own university run by the state government and other organizations can form a board if they want to run a university and conduct non-profit educational activities as per the decision of the board.
