June 3, Kathmandu- Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanubhakta Dhakal has ordered to reduce the price of aviation fuel. According to the Secretariat of Minister Dhakal, he has instructed to adjust the price of aviation fuel after holding discussions with the officials of the concerned bodies on Thursday.
Minister Dhakal has discussed with Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism Yadav Prasad Koirala, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry Dinesh Bhattarai, Executive Director of Nepal Oil Corporation Surendra Poudel, Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Rajan Pokhrel and General Manager of Nepal Airlines Dimprakash Poudel.
Stating that the price of aviation fuel has gone up, Minister Dhakal has directed to reduce the price. He also directed the Civil Aviation Authority to assist in land management to increase the storage capacity of the corporation as the demand will increase when the price of fuel is reduced.
He said that the airline was hit due to a lack of timely adjustment of aviation fuel. Various organizations have also been demanding a reduction in the price of aviation fuel used by international airlines.
