June 3, Kathmandu- Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra has called a full court of the Supreme Court.
Supreme Court Information Officer Devendra Dhakal said that a full court meeting has been called for Friday. According to him, Friday's meeting was scheduled for May 27.
A full court meeting held on May 27 had shortened the proceedings of regular cases, writs and petitions during the COVID-19 pandemic till June 4.
"The contraction of the Supreme Court has been discussed at the full court meeting. Apart from this, there are various issues,” Dhakal told. Dhakal said that discussions could be held on various issues including the formation of a constitutional session.
"Judges can have their say in a variety of ways. The Chief Justice can also raise it. If necessary, discussions can be held on amending the rules and regulations related to the formation of the constitutional session," he said.
Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra has fixed another bench on June 4 after two judges appointed in the constitutional session to look into the issue related to the dissolution of the House of Representatives split.
On the same day, Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra and officials of the Supreme Court Bar Association agreed to change the rules of the Constitutional Court to make arrangements for the formation of a Constitutional Court on the basis of seniority.
