June 4, Kathmandu- CPN-UML Madhav Nepal faction leader has said that the party is in the court of force chairperson KP Sharma Oli to resolve the party dispute. At a meeting of the group's central members on Thursday, most said Chairman Oli could not be trusted as he would only communicate when there was a crisis, show various temptations but show old-fashioned nature after the crisis subsided. He stressed the need for Oli to take the lead in resolving the dispute by creating a credible basis.
According to Birodh Khatiwada, a central member close to leader Madhav Nepal, Oli had manipulated the meeting, saying that he would return to the party five times in the case of Jestha 2, 2075, but did not return, which led to the perception that there was no basis for trust. "Four or five issues have been raised today. It is mainly because Oli has lost faith."
"There is talk of taking action against the leaders and confusing them with talks. The issue of acting against the constitution has been raised. However, the friends are unanimous on the issue of respectable unity. Without respectful unity, the issue of alternatives has also come up with urgency,” he said.
According to Khatiwada, the majority was of the view that there should be no confusion in the name of dialogue rather than concluding all issues now. "There is no reason to believe that Oli will return to his old condition after the crisis is over. This issue has come up sharply, ”said Khatiwada.
According to Central Member Thakur Gaire, six issues have been raised in the meeting. Most of the leaders have agreed to return to the organizational structure of 2075 BS. For that, Oli had to create an atmosphere of trust, not to split the party, but to give alternatives if there is no respectable unity on the basis of opinion from top to bottom.
"It is not just a matter of returning the party to the state of 2075 BS. All the leaders have the same view that all the structures should be returned in May. Also, the issue has been raised that the dispute should be resolved in a dignified manner from the bottom to the top.
"Friends agree that there should be no party split,” said Gaire. According to him, the leaders who were interacting with the Oli faction also informed about the progress so far in the meeting on Thursday.
