June 4, Kathmandu- COVID infection in SAARC countries has been declining for some time now. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Health of the respective countries, the daily infection rate has been declining.
In the last 24 hours, 80,232 people have been infected and 2,887 have died in India. Earlier, about 200,000 people were infected daily in India. In Bangladesh, according to the latest figures, 12,724 people were infected and 30 died on the same day.
In Afghanistan, 1,045 people have been infected and 33 have died. In Sri Lanka, 37 people have been infected and four have died in 24 hours. At least 704 people have been infected and two have died in the Maldives.
In Pakistan, 2,028 people have been infected and 92 have died. Seven people have been infected in Bhutan on the same day. In Nepal, in the last 24 hours, 6,825 people have been infected and 75 people have died.
According to the Ministry of Health, 18,562 PCRs and 3,211 antigens have been tested in Nepal. There are 11839 people infected across the country. On Thursday, 5,904 infected people have been cured. 831 are in quarantine.
Currently, 1,444 ICUs and 398 infected people are being treated on ventilators in hospitals across the country. According to the ministry, there are 221 ICUs and 57 ventilators in Province 1, 113 ICUs and 22 ventilators in Province 2. There are 726 ICUs and 256 ventilators in Bagmati.
There are 139 ICUs and 23 ventilators in Gandaki, 169 ICUs and 25 ventilators in Lumbini, 46 ICUs and five ventilators in Karnali and 30 ICUs and 10 ventilators in Far-Western.
