June 4, Kathmandu- Under the Narayangarh-Butwal Road Expansion Project, which is a project of national pride, the construction of the bridge under construction will be completed by mid-July. The project has stated that all the manpower is focused on the construction of seven minor bridges under construction in Gaindakot Municipality area of Daunne Gaindakot Road in Section-1 of the project.
Chief of the project Ramesh Kumar Disti informed that the work has been started by diverting the road from Thumsi of Gaindakot to Mukundapur and construction of bridges at seven places is underway. "By diverting the road, the work on the minor bridge has been started and the construction is planned to be completed before the monsoon," said Disti. For the Narayangarh-Butwal road extension, all the workers deployed in this section have been used for the construction of the bridge as per the need, said Disti.
The 114 km area of Narayangadh-Butwal road has been divided into two sections and the road expansion work has been taken forward. The contract has been awarded for the expansion of 965 km from Gaindakot to Daunne section 1 and 949 km from Daunne to Butwal as section 2. China State Construction Engineering Corporation has won a contract worth Rs. 16.99 billion for the expansion of roads in both sections through a global tender.
