One More Week Of Lockdown In Kathmandu

June 13, Kathmandu- A meeting of the Chief District Officers of all the three districts is being held today to add one more week lockdown in Kathmandu Valley.

Chief District Officer of Lalitpur Dhundi Prasad Niraula informed that the decision will be taken at a meeting to be held at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu at 2 pm. According to him transportation of school books and opening of book stores will be permitted. Similarly, necessary vigilance will be adopted in the field of agriculture and development.

A definite time will be fixed for this. Chief District Officer of Lalitpur, Dhundi Prasad Niraula, informed that a decision will be taken today on how to manage the transportation and manpower. Preparations have been made to extend the ban for another week saying that the risk of corona virus infection in the valley has decreased. The Chief District Officers of all the three districts had been discussing with the concerned bodies for some time about adding a ban.

The latest lockdown in the Kathmandu Valley is coming to an end tomorrow. Meanwhile, 267 non-compliant vehicles have been detained in Kathmandu Valley. This morning alone, 64 vehicles were held at various places in the Kathmandu Valley. Police have been holding vehicles without pass and essential items.
