June 13, Kathmandu- Pharmacies are operating smoothly in the event of any pandemic or lockwown. Even after the closure due to COVID-19 since last year, drug manufacturers and drug dealers have not been able to get vaccinated against Corona.

Most have been vaccinated because doctors, nurses, paramedics, security guards and journalists have to work on the frontline, but pharmacists and drug manufacturers have complained that the risk has increased because they have not been vaccinated against corona. In the second wave of corona alone, more than 80 pharmacists have died of corona infections, according to the pharmacist. Pharmacists have also requested that they be vaccinated. They have even warned that they will not be able to operate the pharmacy at the risk of their lives

Chairman of the Association of Pharmaceutical Practitioners, Mrigendra Meher Shrestha, said that more than 80 drug dealers had died due to corona, adding that it was inconvenient to run a business at great risk.
