PM Deuba Commitment To Bring A New Budget For Civil Servants And Teachers

July 22, Kathamndu-Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed his commitment to bring a new budget by ending the budget discrimination between civil servants and teachers.

Teachers have been accusing the government of discriminating against them after the government led by former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli decided to provide only 10 days job facility to civil servants. Talking to a team led by Ramesh Babu Bhattarai, coordinator of the Permanent Teachers' Rights Forum, who called on the Prime Minister today to meet the Prime Minister with the demand that the state should provide equal facilities to all public servants, Prime Minister Deuba assured to bring a budget to eliminate this discrimination.

According to Bhattarai, the team has suggested the Prime Minister immediately appoint the officials selected by the former committee as there is a problem in the internal promotion of teachers and open teacher selection due to the absence of Teachers Service Commission officials.

The teachers participating in the discussion informed that they have been assured by the Prime Minister that they are positive in solving the problems of school education teachers and will gradually fulfill the demands of the teachers.

Stakeholders had drawn the attention of the Prime Minister to implement the Teacher Identity Card and Dignity Scale as soon as possible, take a shortcut in the Education Act, and issue it within six months immediately. Similarly, the issue of creating new posts for school teachers was also discussed.

The team of teachers has drawn the attention of the government to the demands of the hospital, establishment of the Constitutional Education Service Commission, vaccination of teachers, students, and parents against corona. In today's meeting, the Prime Minister said that the government is committed to bringing a special package for teachers.
