A Division League Will Take Place On Scheduled Date: Chairman Karma

July 23, Kathmandu- Martyrs' Memorial A Division League is being organized from the first week of September.

Four of the 14 A Division League clubs submitted a memorandum to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Tuesday to stop the league. Chairman of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Karmachhiring Sherpa said that the memorandum of the four clubs would not make any difference and the league would run smoothly within the stipulated time.

Four clubs in Lalitpur had handed over a memorandum to All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) general secretary Indraman Tuladhar on Tuesday to stop the league saying it would be difficult to run the league in the face of the Corona epidemic. Amid various comments on the issue, ANFA president Karma Chhiring Sherpa said that the memorandum issued by any club to stop the league would not make any difference and the league would be held on the scheduled date.

ANFA has already released the schedule to organize Martyrs' Memorial A Division League from Ashoj 3, 2078. ANFA had earlier said that it would hold discussions with the officials from the first week of September. From the same meeting, the registration of players for A Division League was also opened from Shrawan 15. He said he was optimistic about the participation of four clubs and that discussions would be held on Sunday. Chairman Sherpa said that if they do not participate in the league, it will be according to the league rules

Fourteen clubs, including Satdobato Youth Club, which has been promoted from B Division League, are competing in the league starting from September. Saraswati, who finished the league at the bottom of the league last season, will not be this season.

The top division league is preparing to operate for about six months. In the first phase of the league, which is being run in a different format, all the clubs will compete against each other and then the top eight teams will compete for the title.
