National Record Of Kalpana At Olympics

July 24, Kathmandu - Kalpana Pariyar of shooting has set a national record in the women's 10m air rifle event under the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Kalpana has set a record by scoring 616.8 in the selection phase.

Kalpana has broken the national record of her own name. She set a national record by adding 614.5 points in the 13th South Asian Games in Nepal. She was fourth in the sag. Kalpana added 102.2 points in the first series, 105.4 points in the second, 101.0 points in the third, 104.1 points in the fourth, 103.4 points in the fifth and 100.7 points in the sixth.

However, she could not reach the final stage. Kalpana was ranked 46th in the selection phase with 50 players. The top eight players of the selection have made it to the finals. Kalpana received a wild card and was selected for the Olympics. Kalpana, who has been playing for the Tribhuvan Army Club, had prepared for the Olympics on an Olympic scholarship.

Five athletes from Nepal are participating in the Tokyo Olympics.
