July 24, Kathmandu - The Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain in some parts of the country today and heavy rain in one or two places in Bagmati Province. The department has requested to take necessary precaution as there is a risk of soil erosion, landslide and gagran flow in the hilly terrain today as the water level in rivers and streams may rise. The Division has stated that there is a general effect of monsoon winds across the country today.

According to the forecast issued by the Division, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some places this afternoon due to the effect of monsoon winds. He said that heavy rain is likely in one or two places of Bagmati today. Similarly, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some places across the country tonight.
