Revenue Collection Of Rs 5 Billion More Than Target

July 24, Kathmandu - Inland Revenue Office, Hetauda, ​​Makwanpur has collected Rs. 5 billion 528.24 million in the last fiscal year 2077/78. It is said that the office has collected more revenue in the last fiscal year as compared to the previous fiscal year 2076/77. In FY 2076/77, revenue of Rs. 4.78 billion was collected.

The office has collected more revenue than the target, said by office Chief Shalikram Archay. He said that the office had set a target of collecting Rs. 5.39 billion in the last fiscal year 2077/78, but the revenue collection was more than Rs. 5.52 billion. Chief Acharya said that the work was satisfactory as the revenue collection was higher than the target even though all the sectors were in trouble due to the Corona effect.

From July to mid-July of the current Fiscal Year 2077/78, out of the target of Rs. 959.138 million for income tax. The target is to collect Rs. 1.952 billion, Rs. 31.96 million on restoration tax, Rs. 261.18 million on revenue tax and Rs. 261.18 million on interest tax was collected.

Out of the target of Rs. 915.47 million for value added, Rs. 1.32 billion has been collected. Similarly, out of the target of Rs. 3.14 billion, Rs. 2.86 billion was collected against excise duty.
