Though UML has recommended 14 lawmakers to Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota for action, the action will not be implemented.
The Election Commission had registered a new party called CPN-Unified Socialist Party on August 25. As the Election Commission has sent the information of party registration to the Parliament Secretariat, the Speaker decided on Sunday that no action should be taken against those recommended for action. Leaders Nepal, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Mukunda Neupane, Ram Kumari Jhankri, Kalyani Khadka, Laxmi Kumari Chaudhary, Niradevi Jairu, Pushpa Kumari Karna Kayastha, Sarla Kumari Yadav, Kalila Khatun, Virodh Khatiwada, Krishnalal Maharjan, Bhavani Khapung and Metmani Chaudhary have retained their parliamentary seats.
