Oct 23, Kathamndu-Locals have complained that Home Minister Bal Krishna Khan who lived in a neighboring house did not take murder case of Sita Bhandari Poudel (27-year-olds) of Manigram in Rupandehi who have death before one month.
Home Minister of Mines and deceased Sita's mother Tilottama-8 are not only the same ward but also neighbors. Sita was found dead in a room of her own house on September 20 morning. Claiming that the incident was a premeditated murder, the relatives have not agreed to pick up the body by holding street protests on a daily basis.
Months have passed since the suspicious death of his own Daliki Cheli, there have been daily protests but the Home Minister has ignored them,” said Hari Prasad Bhandari, father of the deceased.
The relatives of the deceased and locals have alleged that political and economic activities were involved in the incident. Hari Poudel, a member of Ward No. 5 in Tilotta, elder brother of the deceased, is a local leader of UML.
The relatives have also raised suspicions against DSP Madan Kunwar of Butwal Area Police Office. "It has been reported that the DSP of Butwal and our son-in-law's family have a close relationship," Bhandari said.
Suraj Bhandari, brother of the deceased, alleged that the release of the suicide note by the District Police Office, Rupendehi after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation was fabricated and a ploy to divert the incident.
Home Minister Bijesh Neupane said that the Home Minister has instructed the Chief District Officer and the Chief of Police to continue the investigation into the incident and bring out the facts. "Even though I wanted to come to the district, I didn't seem to care because I couldn't come because of the pressure of work," Neupane said.
Rupandehi Police Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Satyanarayana Thapa said that the autopsy report showed that Sita's death was due to suicide. During the investigation, Sita and her husband Tika Poudel's mobile phone was tested in the digital forensic lab and Thapa was found to have written a suicide note, Thapa said.
Police have arrested Sita's husband Tika, elder brother Hari Prasad and mother Bishnu. A case of suicide incitement is being investigated against them.
