Oct 12, Kathmandu-The practice of selling the birth weight of  goat , details of mother, weight of  goat  at different ages, health, medicine and vaccine details can be checked through QR code. Under the leadership of Gyaneshwar Youth Club, a facility has been started in Gyaneshwar Narayan Chaur Park in Kathmandu to scan the QR code and buy goat.

A model project has been started in collaboration with Heffer International Nepal and Agriclear which is working for the marketing of agriculture  to record the details of fallow goats using block chain technology.

Under the project,goat raised by women entrepreneurs of Lekbeshi Social Entrepreneur Women's Cooperative Society Limited, Nawalpur have been included in the block chain system.

According to Heffer International, official farmers, veterinary and cooperative representatives will be allowed to fill in the details in this system. The details contained in it cannot be changed.

As the age and weight of the time sold by the farmer is also registered in the system, the consumer can get the correct information at the time of purchase, said Heffer International.
