PM Deuba Is Devising Such A Strategy To Win General Convention

October 14, Kathmandu - Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is engaged in the exercise of making leader Sujata Koirala a minister.

The prime minister has embarked on such an exercise after it was seen that Deuba would be comfortable for the general convention if Koirala, who belongs to a group other than the Nepali Congress, was made a minister. There is a vacancy in the Deuba cabinet, which has completed its cabinet three months after the formation of the government. A ministry in the Deuba cabinet fell vacant after Gajendra Hamal resigned within three days of being appointed industry minister. He will be the minister in the ministry from the Congress.

Leaders close to Deuba are trying to make MP Sujata, who is dissatisfied with senior Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel and General Minister Shashank Koirala, a minister. Leaders close to Deuba have already proposed to the Prime Minister that Sujata be made a minister. ‘He is also irritated with groups outside the establishment. In such a situation, it would be easier for the chairman to make a minister. Therefore, we are in favor of making Sujata a minister. 'Sujata has said in a television interview that Prime Minister Deuba did not send her name even when he requested Shashank Koirala to do so. Some have taken his remarks as a warning to break away from the Poudel group. A central member close to Deuba says, ‘He is also irritated with groups outside the establishment. In such a situation, it would be easier for the chairman to make a minister. Therefore, we are in favor of making Sujata a minister. '

The Poudel faction, on the other hand, is dissatisfied that Deuba has given them less ministry. Due to this, the Poudel faction is putting pressure on Deuba saying that they should get the ministry. Deuba, who has already said that he will run for the post of party president, had asked for more ministries from the coalition parties to create an atmosphere in his favor by giving posts to many within the party. Therefore, the Poudel faction is unlikely to get the ministry. Deuba, on the other hand, is trying to please Prakash Man at the general convention. Earlier, Prakash Man wanted to make Rajan KC a minister on his behalf. However, KC was not included in the cabinet. If Prakashman is not ready, Sujata will get the ministry. For this, the leaders of the Deuba faction have a condition that Sujata should express her commitment to help in the general convention.

The leaders said that they were in the process of giving him the responsibility of the Ministry of Industry as it would be a direct benefit to split the Koirala family at the General Convention. The leader said, "We are working with the Prime Minister to bring Sujata Didi as a minister and bring her to his side." If we can bring Didi, there will be a good benefit in the general convention. 'Koirala, who is aspiring for the post of Deputy Prime Minister, is not likely to get the post of Deputy Prime Minister. Because the ruling coalition parties have agreed not to hold the post of Deputy Prime Minister in the government. Sujata is a former Deputy Prime Minister.

Some leaders of the establishment group are in favor of bringing Deuba's confidant Umesh Shrestha to the ministry where Hamal has resigned. Shrestha, who was given the responsibility of the Minister of State for Health on July 26, has been removed from the post and given the responsibility within the Prime Minister's Office. Another leader close to Deuba has said that Prime Minister Deuba, who is happy with Shrestha's role, is likely to give him the responsibility of Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies. It is seen that Deuba will be appointed in the vacant ministry to his advantage as he has put the General Convention at the center in the distribution of posts. Hamal had resigned after being criticized for appointing a non-parliamentary minister in the quota of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jb rana and raising legal issues.
