Chennai Won The IPL Title

October 16, Kathmandu - Chennai Super Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders to win the IPL T20 cricket title. Chennai won the title by defeating Kolkata by 27 runs in the final held in Dubai on Friday night. Batting with the target of 193 runs given by Chennai, Kolkata lost 9 wickets in 20 overs and managed to score only 165 runs.

For Kolkata, Shubman Gill top-scored with 51 and Venkates Lyer scored 50, but the team did not lose. Sardul Thakur took 3 wickets for Chennai. Ravindra Jadeja and Josh Hazlewood took 2/2 wickets each while Deepak Chahar and Dwayne Bravo took 1/1 wickets each.

Earlier, batting first, Chennai lost 3 wickets in 20 overs and scored 192 runs. Chennai's Fap du Plessis played a half-century innings of 83 runs. Similarly, Moin Ali added an unbeaten 37 while Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 32 runs.
