Oct 17, Kathmandu- There is a possibility of normal to heavy rain across the country in today's weather.

The combined effects of the low-pressure system around the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha in India and the evolving western wind system are changing the weather in most of the states.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thundershowers, lightning and strong winds in parts of Provinces No. 1, 2, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Far-Western as well as one or two places in Karnali.

Heavy rain is also expected in one or two places in the far-western region, the department said.
