Oct 20, Kathmandu- Recently, the use of OTT services including Messenger, Viber, WhatsApp,IMO is increasing. It is estimated that this could eventually replace the voice call service provided by telecommunications service providers.

However, the use of mobile calls provided by telecom service providers has not decreased. Currently, six service providers have received permission to provide voice call service in Nepal.

However, only three of them are Nepal Telecom, Ncell and Smart Telecom. Amog these  three companies providing such services, the voice call charges are different. The service provider has to get the call fee from the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, the regulatory body of the telecommunications sector.

We are giving information about the cost of calling from which service provider based on the voice service fee approved by the service provider till mid-July last year.

This is a fee approved by the regulatory body. There is a provision that the service provider can provide the service at a lower price than approved by the regulator if he / she wants.

Also, service providers have been providing various packs lately. The companies claim that the service will be cheaper when they buy the packs provided in this way and make calls.
