In the last five years, research has been done on 200 buffaloes in different parts of Nepal and we have succeeded in breeding 94 buffaloes out of season. That's 47% of the total fertility."

The main breeding season for buffalo, which is considered as cash livestock, is from July to December. The dry season from February to April is considered unseasonable for buffalo breeding.
