Oct 26, Kathmandu- The government has initiated the process of amending the regulations of the Teacher Service Commission to remove the procedural hurdles seen in the recruitment of community school teachers and study permits.
According to Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel, a proposal to amend the rules has been sent to the concerned committee for further consultation. Due to the lack of amendment in the regulations, open advertisement for teacher selection, internal promotion and teaching license examination were stopped.
The Education and Human Resource Development Center has already sent details of 17,047 vacancies in community schools across the country to the Commission. There are 12 thousand 912 vacancies in primary level, two thousand 593 vacancies at the lower secondary level and one thousand 542 vacancies at the secondary level.
