Police Should Be Responsible For The Safety Of Citizens - IGP Chhetri

October 29, Kathmandu - Inspector General of Police Shailesh Thapa Chhetri has stressed on the need for the police to be responsible for the safety of the citizens.

Inaugurating the newly constructed police office at Solukhumbu-based Area Police Office, Namche today, he stressed on the need for fair, lawful and prudent work done by the police organization.

He also congratulated (94-year-old) Kancha Sherpa, a member of the Arohan team who climbed Mt. Everest for the first time. IGP Chhetri said that if the physical infrastructure is well-organized and of good quality, it will have a positive impact on the health and morale of the employees. He said that the police and the society should be equally vigilant about illegal smuggling and import.
