November 2, Kathmandu - The newly appointed Chief Minister of province 1 Rajendra Rai and the ministers have taken oath of office and secrecy. Along with him, the newly appointed ministers also took oath on Tuesday.
Province Chief Somnath Adhikari 'Pyasi' organized a special ceremony at the Province chief's office and administered oath of office and secrecy to the chief minister and ministers. It was proposed to appoint Rai, the leader of the CPN (UML) split from the CPN (UML), as the chief minister on behalf of the coalition.
Rai, who claimed to be the chief minister with the signatures of 49 lawmakers, was appointed by the province chief 'Pyasi' a few hours ago. Chief Minister Rai has expanded the six-member cabinet to include two members from the Nepali Congress and one each from the other parties. Chief Minister Rai has appointed Himal Karki, Deputy Leader of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party as Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Indra Bahadur Angbo, Leader of the CPN-Maoist Central Parliamentary Party as Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Kedar Karki as Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress, Minister of Internal Affairs and Law, Yadav has been appointed Minister of Social Development and United Democratic National Forum leader Bishnumaya Tumbahamphe has been appointed Minister of State for Social Development.
In the newly formed provincial council of ministers, all the new faces except one have been given the responsibility. Indra Bahadur Angbo from the CPN-Maoist Center has taken charge of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning for the second time.
