Tallest View Tower To Be Built In Damak With An Investment Above 1 Billion

Nov 8, Kathmandu- The tallest Damak View Tower is to be constructed in Dapgachhi of Damak Municipality-3 of Jhapa District. The height of the view tower will be 100 meters, according to the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction.

As Damak is a potential tourist destination, the department has stated that the construction of the view tower will be aimed at attracting many domestic and international tourists.

The department said that the view tower, which will be built in a peaceful environment from the east-west highway to the north, will have easy access road, regular bus service from Damak and easy availability of water resources.

The department has already prepared an environmental impact assessment report for the construction of the view tower. The construction and operation of the view tower will cost Rs. 4.9 million for the implementation of negative environmental impact mitigation measures.

The project will also allocate budget as per the time and need for the works that may be required to make the view tower environment friendly and maintain environmental sustainability. The department has proposed to spend Rs. 1.9 million for monitoring the implementation of the environmental management plan.

The view tower will be constructed in Damak with an area of ​​32,711 square meters. The department has proposed in the report that the construction of the view tower will cost Rs 1.56 billion.

Will there be such facilities?
The view tower will be 100 meters high, according to the department. The view tower will have 18 floors. There will be an arrangement to use it for rent inside the tower. According to the department, the view tower will also have arrangements for shops, offices, restaurants and cafes.

On the ground floor of the wide space will be the main spaces for shops. Similarly, the middle floors will be suitable for offices and restaurants, the department said. Also, the upper floors can be used for small cafes and observations. The department is going to construct the ground floor as a corporate parking lot.

There will be ground floor corporate parking, ground floor third floor shops, 4 to 9 storey corporate offices, 10 to 13 storey galleries and exhibitions, 14 to 15 storey restaurant cafes, 16 to 17 storey observation deck and 18 storey terraces.

The department claims that about 1,000 people can observe the tower at a time. The area of ​​basement parking in the view tower will be 2347 square meters while the area of ​​ground floor common hall will be 927 square meters.

The construction area is different according to the floor of the view tower which is under construction. Of which, the area from 454 square meters to 927 square meters has been specified. Similarly, the view tower will have 90 percent open space, parking for 67 four-wheelers and 75 two-wheelers.

The goal is to complete the construction of the view tower in two and a half years. 97 manpower is required for the construction.

27,000 bags of cement required
According to the proposed assessment, 27,000 bags of cement will be required for the construction of the view tower. Similarly, 19 cubic meters of sand, 2800 cubic meters of ballast, 46 thousand bricks, 440 metric tons of poles and 1200 metric tons of steel will be required for the construction of the view tower.

The department has stated that the locals have been given more priority to supply the construction materials required for the decision of the view tower.
