Dec 2, Kathmandu-Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has fixed a fee of Rs one lakh for Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chairperson. . The Unity  General Convention which started in the federal capital Kathmandu on Wednesday, is coming to an end on Friday.

Fees have been fixed for candidates for various posts in the ongoing general convention at Bhrikuti Mandap. The candidature fee for the post of vice-chairman is Rs 75,000, for general secretary Rs 50,000, and for central member Rs 15,000.

The party has informed that about 4200 delegates are participating in the general convention. They will elect a chairperson, three vice-chairpersons including women, three general secretaries including women, seven joint general secretaries, seven assistant general secretaries, one treasurer, assistant treasurer, spokesperson, and co-spokesperson.

A 149-member central committee will be selected from the general convention. The constitution provides for the chairperson to nominate the remaining 50 central members. The Central Committee will have 199 members. Mohan Shrestha, a coordinator of the campaign committee, said that the registration of candidates has started in the closed session.
