Will Congress President Deuba Hold A Talk With Leader Nidhi Own His Residence?

Dec 14, Kathmandu- Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba is going to urge congress leader  Bimalendra Nidhi who got the fourth highest number of votes to help him become the president of the Nepali Congress. The secretariat of Deuba who is also the prime minister has informed that Deuba is going to his residence to meet Nidhi shortly.

The second round of voting to elect the president of the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress is going to be held. In the first round, none of the five presidential candidates managed to get more than 50 percent of the votes cast. Presidential candidate Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the prime ministerial candidate has not received enough votes to win in the first round. Deuba got 2258 votes.

Bimalendra Nidhi who has been on Deuba's panel for a long time and has given his candidature in the face of the General Convention, has got the fourth highest number of votes. Deuba did not get 90 votes to cut 50 percent in the first round, while Nidhi got 249 votes. Nidhi has prevented Deuba from winning in the first round.

As the election was approaching, it was estimated that Nidhi would not get even 100 votes in Deuba's team. If Nidhi got 2/300 votes, he expected the election to go to the second round, but as he did not get that many votes, his team was confident that Deuba would win in the first round.

After the conclusion of the delegates to the General Convention of Province 2, they were more relaxed. Because there were very few representatives of the fund side. By the time the state elections were over, Nidhi had probably assumed that he would not win. But he was equally convinced that the president's results would not come in the first round.

On the eve of the polls, Nidhi had said that the presidential election would be held in the second phase and that he would support those who get more votes from the Deuwaitar group.

The first round of elections was as Nidhi said. Deuba did not get two percent votes in the first round. The second round of elections is about to take place.
