Dec 20, Kathmandu- The 47th convocation ceremony of Tribhuvan University has been completed today. Initiating 29,729 students, TU concluded its 47th convocation today.
Students who have passed the doctorate and MPhil were made to participate in the ceremony. The undergraduate and postgraduate students of Tribhuvan University had returned from the gate of the examination control office of Tribhuvan University saying that they had been baptized.
TU VC Prada. Dharmakanta Banskota informed that 29,729 people included in the 59th grace list have been initiated. These include Doctorate, DM / MCH, Philosophy (MPhil), Post Graduate, and Undergraduate level.
A ceremony has been organized at the Examination Control Office in Balkhu for the last two years after the covid-19 pandemic. Only the best students were invited to graduate, postgraduate, and graduate.
It has been stated that the students who have been included in the 59th Grace List by taking the transcript from 15 June 2020 to J11 June 2021 after conducting research in Tribhuvan University have been initiated by Tribhuvan University.
Director of Indian Institute of Technology Provi Ram Gopal Rao was the chief guest at the event. He stressed the need to produce creative, innovative, and age-appropriate scientific and technical manpower for the rapid transformation of the country's economy. "In today's competitive global educational market, the university needs to move forward with age-appropriate educational and managerial reforms," he said.
The chief guest of the graduation ceremony, Director of Indian Institute of Technology, Rao, wished success to the graduates from the 47th Convocation Ceremony and urged them to transform the country and enhance the dignity of the institution they have studied. Mentioning that unimaginable achievements have been achieved in the world through perseverance and hard work, he urged them to move forward as manpower that produces opportunities and not jobs.
Minister for Education, Science and Technology and Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University Devendra Poudel said that higher education has an important role in the economic and social development of the country. He also drew attention to the need to link research activities with socio-economic development and to reduce unemployment and poverty by producing manpower accordingly by giving high priority to science and technology. Stating that he himself is a student of TU, Poudel said that he was aware of the problems faced by the university in recent times and expressed his commitment to making positive efforts to solve the problems.
Welcoming the 47th Convocation, Tribhuvan University Vice-Chancellor Prada Dharmakanta Baskota said that in the glorious history of 62 years, the Prime Minister, former Prime Ministers, Ministers, Pro-Government, and Opposition He claimed that the party has succeeded in producing capable citizens serving and working in various fields of society including politicians, judges, heads of constitutional bodies, legislators, civil servants, planners, university vice-chancellors, academics, technicians, security personnel, artists and media persons.
