Dec 24, Kathmandu- In the meeting on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission, the government has decided to appoint Mahashram Sharma as the chairman of the National Examination Board(NEB). So, he has been appointed as the chairman of the NEB.
Sharma's concept and action plan were presented by the commission at the central office of the commission, Kamalpokhari, on December 16. The commission had conducted the interview on December 17.
Sharma(64-year-old) is a former employee of the Nepal Education Service. He is a resident of Baglung Jamin Municipality-10 had started his teaching service in 1976 Ad from Janata High School in Baglung Pagi.
He taught at Janata Secondary School, Sarkhuwa till 1979 AD. He taught science at Khumjung Secondary School, Solukhumbu from 1981 AD to 1984 AD.
He started his civil service as a school inspector in 1985 AD while teaching at Mahendra Bhawan Higher Secondary School, Kathmandu. Gaining the experience of the Director-General of the Department of Education, he became the Secretary to the Government of Nepal in 2015 AD. Sharma, who became the chairman of the Citizens' Investment Fund in 2017 AD had obtained his doctorate in 2020 AD on the management practice of community secondary schools in Nepal.
At a press conference held at Singha Durbar on Friday to announce the decision of the cabinet, government spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that a meeting of the cabinet on Thursday decided to appoint Sharma as the chairman of the board.
