Rekha Shah's Warning: Don't Use My Song Commercially Without Permission

Dec 26, Kathmandu- Singer Rekha Shah has urged not to use her songs for commercial purposes. She has even warned of legal action if her request is ignored.

Nearly three decades ago, the public line song 'Simsime Panima' was very popular. The song with his words, rhythm, and voice are still popular today. Rekha sang this song on Radio Nepal and got the gold medal. This song has become synonymous with her.

Rekha wrote on the social network Facebook on Thursday, "I have a copyrighted song that has been sung on various reality shows without my permission. I did not give any response to any of the organizers to identify the talent. Now I see the brothers and sisters who have won the same competitions earning money by singing on stage shows for commercial purposes. '

Rekha said that such actions have made the creator feel unfair. She further said, "I feel that there is an unfair and heinous attitude towards a creator and composer as he has composed a music track without my permission."

Rekha has requested not to use her songs for commercial purposes in the coming days and warned to take legal action against the copyright law if it is ignored.
