Jan 6, Kathmandu -The district convention of the CPN (UML) is being held on January 7. The convention will elect new leadership. The UML organization department has circulated three-point criteria regarding district committees in all 77 districts. 

These are the criteria:
1- In order to be an office-bearer, he/she should have worked in the district committee for two terms or as a member in the secretariat for one term.

2. For the member, he/she should have completed at least one term in the district committee, district department or one level committee.
3. Unity will be in accordance with Article 63 (11) of the constitution in the case of those who have joined the party through unification.
